Where is the Heat Wave?

I keep reading about people suffering and dying all over the country due to the heat wave this past week. I'm wearing a sweater today. Granted it's a light knit sweater - J. Crew outlet in Kenosha - but I'm comfortable. I am lucky enough to park indoors at home and then drive to an indoor spot here at the station. I manage to avoid all types of weather, and that's why I don't get the heat wave. I know it's humid, but only because when I leave my window open in my bedroom all day my carpet is damp (is there some hidden inuendo there?).

I feel like the summer is flying by and besides my frequest visits to the Dairy Queen, I don't even acknowledge it. Maybe I need to go to St. Louis, where the people still have no power and are sweating. Maybe I need to visit my grandma where the a/c is controlled by the building, so she's always either hot or cold. Or maybe I just need to go to a park, sit in the sun and enjoy the summer. Now they're saying the first 6 months of this year have been the hottest ON RECORD. Yet instead of "Where's the meat?" I'm asking "Where's the heat?"
