November 2007

November 16, 2007

It's Friday, which doesn't mean that much to me

It's been over 2 weeks since the studio light was darkened on the Stan and Terry Show on WCKG. I've been unemployed before, but not for over 5 years, so it's a little strange. Luckily I have a friend who only works half a week (she has family money) so we've hung out and saw a few movies (liked "American Gangster" even though it was long and really liked "Michael Clayton" and not just because my man George was in it) I’ve listened to other radio stations to see what else is out there and found out there's not that much:) Its weird hearing Steve Dahl and Buzz in the mornings on JACK, I feel like my days are reversed and I should eat dinner at 10:00am. It's also funny how one errand can be a whole day's project. Today it was eating a delicious breakfast at Angel's Bakery.

I've done yoga, took some walks, and babysat. The word is out, I'm great with kids and everyone tells me to be a nanny. Someone even sent me a job offer to be an 'assistant' nanny for over $50,000 a year, can someone say DAMN!?! But alas, I want to work in radio and so I'll stick to the crap money and the Looney characters and management. If you think about it, the jobs are pretty similar; calming fussy personalities, dealing with attitudes, and cleaning up the mess both big and smelly. Ok, I'm off, it's time for me to check my mailbox for my People Magazine and shower, or hey, maybe I'll read my magazine and set up a nice bath... I deserve it right?
